Thomas Smith arrived in Fremantle in 1881. He established a tailoring and outfitting business and later became a Fremantle Municipal Councillor. Marion Ellen Smith, daughter of Thomas, had a considerable land portfolio and was involved in financial loans and mortgages. Ada Bromham, a well known Western Australian feminist, appeared to be a partner with Marion Smith in some land and financial matters. Records of Thomas Smith, Ada Bromham and Marion Ellen Smith.
